Lower School Family Math Fair
The Lower School Family Math Fair took place on Thursday March 6. The Math teachers planned and organized activities, and Upper School volunteers helped to explain and lead activities as 2nd through 6th grade students moved around to different stations. Students were able to experience mathematics beyond "arithmetic" as they applied reasoning, probability, operations, and problem solving skills in a variety of fun activities.

Upper and Lower School Retreat and Activities Day
The Upper school student stayed from 3:30 pm on Tuesday, November 20th through Noon on Wednesday, November 21st. On Tues. evening, they did team building activities, made team names, cheers, and flags. They built items to prevent breaking an egg when dropped and built a shelter for 2 students to be under out of newspaper, tape, and one pole only. On Wednesday, they participated in a scavenger hunt at a nearby park, the climbing wall (for the first day ever), and a partner game called Mine Field, in which they must move through obstacle while one person is blind folded.
On Wednesday, November 21st, second through sixth graders participated in Lower School Activities Day. Exciting team-building challenges taught the students to work together and communicate positively, and beautiful crafts were created including fleece scarves. Officer Hunt from The Town and Country Police Station visited and helped students discuss safety strategies. After making it through the New Building Scavenger Hunt, the students took their homemade candied apples and set off for Thanksgiving Break. It was a fun-filled day of working together as a team. Everyone did a great job!
