Language Arts Supervisor, Language Arts and Tutorial Teacher, and Parent of Alumnus

“As a former parent and as a current teacher, I can confirm that students, my son included, leave with vastly more understanding of one’s learning style, tools and strategies to be successful in a traditional academic setting, and a strong ability to self-advocate in all areas of life. Churchill gives students the confidence to take risks in the classroom, in contrast to past failures. Children learn not only ‘how’ to be a successful student, but ‘what’ and ‘why’ become much clearer as well.”

Sue is the language arts supervisor and teaches language arts and tutorial at Churchill. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri-St. Louis and a master’s degree in education from National-Louis University. Sue and her husband, John are parents of alumnus, Matthew who previously attended Churchill Center & School.
