Math Olympics!

It’s the Math Olympics! Ms. Newmaster’s 6th grade class competed in their own winter games by working individually and with their fellow mathletes in various challenges.

Individual events included putting their visual-spatial skills to use in a Blokus Tournament, where they competed in 4-person, 3-person and 2-person contests.

Team events involved solving challenging problems such as finding the area of a downhill ski course.

Gold, silver and bronze medals were awarded based on the results of each event.

Students had a blast while competing in hands-on learning at the same time. A winning combination! Go Bulldogs!
