Parent of Alumnus and Former Churchill Teacher
Susan Shaw
“As a former parent and Churchill teacher, I can confirm that students, my son included, leave with vastly more understanding of one’s learning style, tools and strategies to be successful in a traditional academic setting, and a strong ability to self-advocate in all areas of life. Churchill gives students the confidence to take risks in the classroom, in contrast to past failures. Children learn not only ‘how’ to be a successful student, but ‘what’ and ‘why’ become much clearer as well.”

Sue was the language arts supervisor and language arts and tutorial teacher at Churchill. Sue and her husband, John are parents of alumnus, Matthew who previously attended Churchill Center & School.
